What is DSIG?
The California Dream Act Service Incentive Grant Program (DSIG) encourages Cal Grant B recipients to perform community or volunteer service. Up to 1,667 eligible students will be awarded $3,000 per academic year ($1,500 per semester) for up to 8 semesters. Participants must re-apply annually to the program. Applications will be accepted through June 30th or until all annual awards are exhausted, whichever comes first.
DSIG Requirements:
- Complete and submit the California Dream Act Application (CADAA) for the appropriate academic year.
- Must be an active recipient of a Cal Grant B Award
- Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
- Complete 150 hours per semester of community or volunteer service hours
How to Apply:
- Download, complete, and submit the Grant Application form on the California Dream Act Service Incentive Grant Program Website.
- Complete 150 hours per semester of community or volunteer service.
- Download, complete, and submit the Payment Request form; include verification of hours.
