Professional Development Committee

Purpose Statement

The committee identifies and plans professional development opportunities for faculty and staff which supports the institution’s continuous improvement and goals.

Description

The Professional Development and Recognition Committee identifies opportunities and areas in need of professional development in drafting the District’s Professional Development Plan. The committee also evaluates professional development training for effectiveness and updates the Professional Development Plan accordingly. The committee works closely with HR in documenting all professional development completed. The committee identifies opportunities to recognize our faculty and staff both locally, statewide, and nationwide, and assists with the processing and submitting of nominations.
