The Barstow Community College Adult Education Department was thrilled to participate in the recent Community Resource Fair and Veterans Connection event! Held on Thursday, June 25th, at the Cora Harper Community Center (841 Barstow Rd), the event brought together a massive network of support for local residents and veterans alike.
An Incredible Community Turnout
This year's fair saw an amazing response from both organizations and community members:
- 60+ Vendors: Roughly 60 non-profit and government entities were on hand, offering everything from health screenings and vital records assistance to education information and veteran support services.
- 500+ Attendees: Over 500 community members walked through the doors to connect with vital resources, learn about local programs, and take advantage of the services provided.
Empowering Through Education
At the BCC Adult Education booth, our team had a fantastic time meeting with attendees to share information about our upcoming programs, classes, and workforce readiness offerings. We are incredibly proud to support these resource fairs, as they align perfectly with our mission to break down barriers and provide accessible pathways to education and professional growth right here in Barstow.
