Elaine Villareal is a lifelong resident of Barstow and a dedicated community leader whose life has been rooted in service, family, and local engagement. The oldest of eight siblings, Elaine developed a strong sense of responsibility and leadership early on qualities that have guided her throughout her life.

She attended Barstow Community College and went on to build both a family and a successful career. Elaine married Rudy Villareal, and together they raised two children and are proud grandparents of six grandchildren.

Entrepreneurial and community-minded, Elaine co-owned and operated a family business, Rudy Villareal and Son, for fifty years. She later founded her own wedding planning business, Weddings by Elaine, which she ran for four years. Her professional experience also includes serving as manager and buyer for the bridal division of Barstow Flower Bridal, where she combined creativity with business expertise.

Elaine's commitment to service extends deeply into her community involvement. She founded a lady's auxiliary for Children's Home Society and went on to serve as President for both San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, as well as a member of the organization's board. She also served as a school board member for St. Joseph's School, contributing to local education and youth development.

A charter member of Barstow Crossroads Kiwanis, Elaine continues her service today as Secretary, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to improving the lives of others. She is currently serving her second term as President of the Barstow College Foundation, where she plays a vital role in advancing educational opportunities in her community.

Through decades of leadership, entrepreneurship, and volunteerism, Elaine Villareal has made a lasting impact on Barstow, exemplifying dedication, resilience, and a deep commitment to serving others.
