This certificate fulfills the educational and practical requirements for students interested in working with children from infancy through third grade. Upon completion of this certificate, the recipient is eligible to apply for California’s “Child Development Teacher Permit” (on the State Matrix Level additional requirements are 175 days of 3+ hours per day within 4 years).
