The staff at BCC know that getting started on your college journey can be intimidating and that’s why we are here to help you. If you follow the steps below with the assistance of our step by step tutorials you can complete the registration process. But if you want or need personal assistance in navigating the process to become eligible to register then please stop by the Transfer and Career Planning Center where there will always be someone available to assist you.
Admissions Application: All new BCC students and any returning student who has missed a semester (excluding summer) must complete the admissions application. After applying, you will receive a response email with instruction on retrieving your Student ID (B Number). The email will contain helpful information about your residency determination and what steps you need to take next. If for some reason we are unable to process your application, you will receive an email letting you know what to do next.
Orientation: All new BCC students and any returning student who has missed three years must complete the online orientation. It is designed to give you tons of helpful information about being a student at BCC. We also encourage you to take the time to review the College Catalog and the Student Handbook to learn more about being a student at BCC and so to familiarize yourself with policies and procedures that affect you.
Education Planning: All new BCC students and any returning students who have missed at least three years are required to meet with a counselor to develop a Student Education Plan, commonly referred to as an SEP. If you are a transfer student or member/former member of the military be sure to bring a copy of your unofficial transcript or JST if you are military when you meet with a counselor so they can help you determine what credit you are eligible for from your previous coursework.
Priority Registration – Students who complete the Student Success Steps and meet certain other requirements qualify for priority registration.
