Donating to BCC

Ways to Give

You, too, can make an impact in the future of Barstow Community College and its students by becoming a part of our donor family TODAY via one of the methods below.

“There are so many who would love the opportunity to receive a higher education, but do not have the means to balance school and working. People [like you] make it possible for people like me to maintain a full-time school schedule and finish school…I plan to take my education in Cosmetology to be a business owner and make improvements in my life…and like you all, hope to give back to my community in the same way.”

– Patricka Bellinger, 2018 Scholarship Recipient

Outright Gifts

Typically in cash, checks, money orders, and credit cards, outright gifts can be given as Unrestricted or Designated donations to the Foundation.

Unrestricted Gifts – Donations with no designation go into the Foundation’s Annual or General Fund and allow the Foundation the flexibility to respond to the college’s areas of greatest need.

Designated Gifts – Donors may designate how they would like their contribution to be utilized to help Barstow Community College.  Current areas of support for designation include:

Establishing Scholarships/Endowments

Establishing a scholarship or an endowment in your name, the name of a loved one, or the name of your business or organization is a great way to provide direct support to BCC students.  While establishing a scholarship may be considered a short-term gift (students will only receive your contributions until the funding runs out), Endowments mean scholarships can be given from your investment in perpetuity – your scholarship will be available for BCC students for generations to come.  Endowments are an everlasting gift!

For more information, please visit our Scholarships & Endowments page.
