Program Description

This program provides the student with a broad base of technical skills in photography with additional emphasis on visual communication. Prepares studentsto enter the photographic field in a variety of positions such as production printer, studio photographer, photo lab technician, and free-lance photographer.

Photography Programs:

Associate of Science, Photography (CTE)

To earn an Associate of Science Degree, Photography Students will complete the following:

PHOT1A Introduction to Digital Photography 4
PHOT1B Introduction to Digital Photography 4
PHOT1C Introduction to Digital Photography 4
PHOT2A Advanced Photography 4
PHOT2B Advanced Photography 4

Plus the following General Ed & Elective courses UNITS
General Education coursework (typically 1-3 units per course) 27
Elective coursework (may include additional PHOT courses) 13
