BARSTOW – The community is invited to the Fourth Annual Festival of Lights & Learning hosted by the Barstow Community College Foundation on Dec. 5 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the college’s Learning Resource Center Plaza.
This free holiday celebration will feature craft booths
and vendors, musical performances, a campus lighting ceremony, free pictures
with Santa Claus, and a new holiday tree display and silent auction.
At 4:45 p.m., the college will hold a special campus lighting ceremony to illuminate
thousands of holiday lights symbolizing donations contributors have made to
the Foundation’s student scholarship fund.

BARSTOW – The Barstow Community College Choir will perform its holiday concert Friday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. in the college’s Norman Smith Center located at 2700 Barstow Rd.
The choir will perform a mixture of secular and sacred
holiday music. The performance will also feature a presentation about the history
of a famous holiday carol by English instructor, Dale Jensen.
General admission is $4, and students and seniors pay just $3. Tickets can be
bought at the door.

BARSTOW – Barstow Community College is inviting local crafters and vendors to participate in its Fourth Annual Festival of Lights & Learning planned for Dec. 5 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The college plans to transform the plaza outside its
new Learning Resource Center into a holiday village for this annual holiday
and campus-lighting event, which raises money for student scholarships.
For a $10 donation to the Barstow Community College Foundation, crafters will
receive an eight-foot table and two chairs. The registration deadline is Nov.
21. The registration fee will be waived for crafters who participated in this
event last year. Improvements have been made to add light to this year’s craft
area.
Those interested in participating can register at the Barstow Community College Business Office, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., or call Sue Jones at (760) 252-2411, ext. 7350 for more information.
Last year more than 500 people attended this event, which features free pictures with Santa Claus, musical performances, holiday tree displays, and a campus lighting ceremony.

BARSTOW – Join the Barstow Community College Callboard Performing Arts Club for an enjoyable evening of dinner and musical entertainment on Nov.18 at 7 p.m. in the college’s Norman Smith Center.
At “Harvest Moon: An Autumn Gala,” patron’s will be served a complete Thanksgiving dinner and treated to old standards sung by BCC students accompanied on the piano by Don Diel. A desert auction will follow the dinner.
If you reserve your tickets by Nov. 14, the price is $8 for general admission and $6 for students and seniors. Admission at the door the night of the event is $10 for general admission and $8 for students and seniors.
