College Is Possible (CIP) is the American Council on Education's K–16 youth development program that motivates middle and high school students from underserved communities to seek a college education. As the umbrella organization for higher education and a presidential association, the American Council on Education (ACE) is uniquely positioned to build a bridge between colleges and universities and their local K-12 community with commitment at the executive level.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund Application

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) is the nation's leading organization supporting Hispanic higher education. Founded in 1975 as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, HSF's vision is to strengthen the country by advancing college education among Hispanic Americans. In support of its mission to double the rate of Hispanics earning college degrees, HSF provides the Latino community more college scholarships and educational outreach support than any other organization in the country. During the 2006-2007 academic year, HSF awarded nearly 4,200 scholarships exceeding $26.5 million. In its 32-year history, HSF has awarded more than 82,000 scholarships worth more than $221 million to Latinos from all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands attending nearly 2,000 colleges and universities.

Hispanic Public Relations Association Scholarship

HPRA will award one $2,500 scholarship to an outstanding student. Nine other four-year university students will receive $1,000 each. As an added benefit, HPRA also is partnering with member companies and agencies to assist scholarship recipients in obtaining a public relations internship.

MALDEF’s law school scholarship program is open to law students entering their 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of law school.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Scholarships

Every year, hundreds of thousands of students participate in the Voice of Democracy Scholarship Competition and the Patriot's Pen Essay Contest, garnering more than $3.4 million in scholarships and incentives.

In addition, the VFW honors an outstanding scout through the VFW Scout of the Year Scholarship program.

DAV Jesse Brown Memorial Scholarship

In memory of the late Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Jesse Brown, the Disabled American Veterans has established the Jesse Brown Memorial Youth Scholarship Program. Mr. Jesse Brown enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp in 1963. Two years later, while on patrol in the DaNang area of Vietnam, Mr. Brown sustained a serious injury due to a gunshot wound while engaged in combat. From that point and over the next 39 years, the lives of millions of veterans changed for the better. Mr. Brown devoted himself to the cause of building better lives for America's disabled veterans.

United Negro
College Fund

Since 1985, the UNCF Scholarships and Grants Administration office has awarded in scholarship assistance over $105 million to over 28,000 students enrolled in its 39 member colleges and universities and other HBCUs and majority institutions as well. We provide support in numerous ways to a variety of constituencies.

The Sallie Mae Fund

Addressing financial need through scholarships is one of the key elements of The Sallie Mae Fund's efforts. Since 2001, The Sallie Mae Fund has awarded $12.7 million in scholarships to help more than 5,000 students enroll in college.

Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship

The Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF) is a new national organization devoted solely to the financial scholarship needs of Asian and Pacific Islander American students. The scholarship fund's historic formation is credited to founding corporations, community-based organizations and civic leaders such as McDonald's Corporation, The Coca-Cola Company, Asian McDonald's Owner/Operators Association, Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies, Organization of Chinese Americans, Southeast Asia Resource Action Center, the University of Hawai'i, Native Hawaiian Community-Based Education Learning Centers, United Negro College Fund, Hispanic Scholarship Fund and former U.S. Congressman Robert Underwood.

Association on American Indian Affairs

Since 1922, the Association on American Indian Affairs has been dedicated to helping Native people and their communities in meeting the challenges they face. One of these challenges is that of paying for a higher education. AAIA depends on the generosity of our donors to fund our scholarship programs, therefore, availability may change from year to year.
