- Complete the BCC Application for Admissions
- Go to the BCC Military - Veterans Area Home Page
- Follow the link to VA Application Information
- Find Education Benefits; roll your mouse over and follow down to How to Apply for Benefits
- Find Apply for Benefits Online.
- Follow the link "Click HERE for an electronic application form that may be completed and submitted online."
- Fill out the application and submit.
- Print a copy of the signature page and send it via US Mail to the VA. You will receive a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) from the VA within two to three weeks.
- When you have the COE, forward it, along with a copy of your DD 214 and the two forms listed below (Declaration of Understanding, Statement of Responsibility) to the BCC Veterans Affairs Advisor/VA Certifying Official.
- Upon receipt, your Advisor will certify to the VA that you are attending classes at BCC, including the beginning and ending dates.
- Should you drop or add a course, you must notify your Advisor immediately. Your Advisor will notify VA.
- Additionally, the BCC VA Certifying Official will generate a monthly report confirming that individual enrollments correspond to VA certification. The VA will be notified of any discrepancies.
- Declaration of Understanding: Complete and turn in one time only.
- Statement of Responsibility: Complete and turn in at the beginning of each semester or summer session, and every time you add or drop a course.
