Cal Vet Fee Waiver

Important

Instructions for Students:

1. Fill out the Cal Vet Fee Waiver form and send it to the County Veterans Service Office. You should do this once a year, usually after taxes are done on April 15th.


2. Once you receive your award letter from that office, you need to take it immediately to the Barstow College Financial Aid Office. The Financial Aid Office will also require you to fill out a BOGW form as well. This form is required by Barstow College in order to process your fee waiver.

 

California College Fee Waiver Program

Under the California Education Code, dependents of veterans whose death or disability was service-connected may be eligible for exemption from college and university registration fees. Applications and information are available in the Administration Building from your Veterans Affairs Advisor or from your county Veterans Service Office.

Contact your local county Veterans Service Office at 15456 West Sage St. Ste. 201Victorville, CA 92392 or call (760) 843-4300 or Mondays and Thursdays at 100 East Verterans Parkway (Located in the Veterans Home of California), Barstow, CA 92311 phone (760) 252-6527 to obtain applications and information and to apply for benefits under this program. You may also download the application from this Web site.
