ASSIGNMENT
Under the direction of the Director of Vocational Programs, the CTE K-12 Manager will be responsible for meeting the terms and deliverables of the CTE K-12 Grant, and other grants assigned. This position will direct, manage, evaluate, and work with K-12 districts to establish and maintain partnerships, course offerings, articulation agreements, and concurrent enrollments.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
- Manages and coordinates work with students individually and in class-sized groups to complete enrollment and other required forms.
- Provides technical assistance to students, faculty and staff as it relates to the CTE K-12 Grant.
- Maintains ongoing Working relationship with K-12 districts to develop course schedules and submit them for placement in the college’s schedule.
- Manages troubleshooting and diagnoses problems with schedules, instruction, equipment and facilities.
- Makes presentations to School Boards, K-12 schools, students, and parents at various K-12 schools.
- Coordinates recruiting and recruits students from K-12 schools to enroll in CTE courses.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
The position requires an Associate’s Degree and six years of experience working with K-12 systems.
KNOWLEDGE OF
The position requires specialized knowledge of the principles, practices, procedures, and techniques of the K-12 system. Requires a well-developed knowledge of instructional methods and techniques. Requires in-depth knowledge of computer software including MS Office. Requires sufficient reading, math, and writing skills to perform and complete required reports. Requires sufficient human relations skill to facilitate learning with small groups and to convey technical concepts to others. Requires sensitivity to the needs and needs and behavior of student of various ethnic, racial and cultural backgrounds.
ABILITY TO
Requires the ability to carry out the responsibilities of the position including deliver instruction to small groups as required. Must be able to complete assigned work in a timely manner. Requires the ability to perform routine record keeping and report writing duties. Must be able to organize and prioritize work and manage time effectively. Must be able to communicate in both formal and informal setting with students, instructors, and other interested parties. May require the ability to perform work assignments at all College and K-12 locations.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
$50,218-$67,297
Initial placement on the Management Salary Schedule will be commensurate with education and experience. The District provides an excellent health and welfare package which includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance and income protection. Current cost to employee not to exceed $900 per year. Enrollment in the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Environment:Work is primarily performed indoors where minimal safety considerations exist. Some outdoor job site visits maybe required.
Physical Abilities:Requires ambulatory skills to retrieve work materials and files; to stand or sit at a counter for extended periods of time. Requires sufficient arm, hand, finger dexterity in order to operate keyboard, typewriter and other office equipment. Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers. Requires auditory ability to carry on conversations with individuals and small groups in person and over the phone.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
A full-time, 12-month, management position. Indexed to placement on the Administrative and Management Salary Schedule at the Manager I level. This position is subject to evening hours and weekends. Position contingent upon the availability of Grant funds.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
