Board of Trustees Secretary
Ms. Marcia Zableckis

Marcia E. Zableckis has served on the Board of Trustees for the Barstow Community College District since 1999. As a member, Trustee Zableckis has served as President in 2002 and 2003 and currently is the Secretary to the Board. She is in her second term.
Trustee Zableckis was in the first graduating class of Barstow College in 1962. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from the University of La Verne and a master’s degree in education with emphasis in math and science from Fresno Pacific University. Trustee Zableckis has taught fifth through eighth grades as a teacher with the Barstow Unified School District and was also responsible for the reopening of the Desert Research Station near Hinkley School.
Civically minded, Trustee Zableckis is involved in numerous community service organizations including the Boy Scouts, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, a member of the Bishop’s Committee and a Church School Teacher. As a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma (an honorary society of women educators), Trustee Zableckis is its chapter President.
