Benefits of CalWORKs?
To assist CalWORKs students obtain their educational certificates and/or degree, the program provides support services which include but are not limited to:

• Assistance with paying for childcare.
• Work-study opportunities
• Assisting recipients to meet the 32/35 hours CalWORKs weekly activity requirement
• Providing school supplies, i.e. notebooks, pens, pencils, scantrons, paper, calculators, and dictionaries or whatever is needed for your class at no cost
• Providing career planning, interview skills, and career testing
• Peer advisement
• Academic and personal counseling
