Applications, available in the Admissions and Records Department, should be completed and returned with all other admissions and registration materials during open registration

NON-CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES

Non-citizens of the United States must present their alien registration card in person at the Admissions and Records Office when applying. If you were born in a foreign country and are now a U.S. citizen, you must provide evidence of your naturalization. Non-immigrant students currently living in the United States on a visa must present their passport when they apply.

Barstow College recibe a los estudiantes que son graduados de las escuelas secundarias y tambien a los que se han aprobado el examen del California State Proficiency y son certificados por el estado de California. Se les permite admision tambien a otros candidatos de 18 anos o mas, quienes pueden aprovechar de las instruccion quese les ofrezca. Cualquier persona quien ha servido en las fuerzas armadas de las Estados Unidos es elegible para admision a Barstow College.

ACTIVE MILITARY OR DEPENDENTS

Applicants who are members of the Armed Forces of the United Statesstationed in California on active duty, except if assigned for educational purposes, shall be entitled to resident classification. As of Jan 1, 2001, family members shall be entitled to resident classification and are covered by the same regulations as the active military person(s). DURING this one-year period, the military family member(s) must demonstrate both intent and physical presence to extend resident classification.

STUDENTS UNDER 19 YEARS OF AGE

You must complete that section of the Residency Questionnaire and Application for Admission which applies to you. If the parent(s) with whom you live have a last name which is different than yours, state the relationship. If you have a guardian, he or she must be court appointed.

STUDENTS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE

If you are not eighteen years of age, you must submit proof of high school graduation or the U.S. equivalent when applying for admission. Students in high school or below must obtain permission from the school principal (or designee) and parent or guardian. The form authorizing enrollment must state the specific class(es) in which you are permitted to enroll. You will not be allowed to enroll in anything which is not on the permission slip. You may obtain the form to attend Barstow College while still a high school student online.
