Associate Degrees
Barstow College offers the following degrees:
- Associate of Arts -- Humanities (see General Education Degree Plan)
- Associate of Arts -- Social Science (see General Education Degree

- Associate of Science -- Natural Science/Math (see General Education
Degree Plan)
- Associate of Science in a variety of occupational majors (see Occupational

Certificates of Achievement
Certificates of Achievement are presented to students who satisfactorily complete certain business,
vocational and technical programs (18 units or more that are part of the
programs approved by the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office).
The length of time and number of units required to complete a program varies.

Certificates of Completion
Other certificate options
are available through various occupational programs. These certificates
generally require less than 18 units of work within the major program. One
example is the Family Day Care Certificate, offered under Child Development.
